Question: I made a movie for my parents' anniversary with windows movie maker. Is there any possible way to burn it on DVD, so I can watch it on my DVD Player? I have tired to burn it with wmm, however, it didn't work. Any suggestions?
Tip: Windows Movie Maker is assuredly an easy and powerful video editing program. However, it is incapable of transcoding the WMM files to MPEG-2 for DVD. So it is no way to burn the movie with WMM. Luckily enough, there is an easy and intuitive burning program-WMM to DVD Creator can do that.
Windows Movie Maker to DVD Creator: (More features about DVD Creator)
Free Download Size: 31.8MB
Preparation stage: Export your edited file from Windows Movie Maker
Choose the edited file->click "File"-> select "Save Movie File", then you can go to the "Save Movie Wizard"->choose "My Computer", then follow the Wizard.
Windows Movie Maker export videos as .wmv by default. Of course, you can also doing settings for the output video. For example, choose "DV-AVI" and output file can be saved as .avi.
Don't export file by choosing "Save Project", as the being saved file is MSWMM. What's MSWMM file? MSWMM file contains the movie timeline, transitions, and references to video clips, audio files, and still images. It allows you to return to the movie and make modifications at a later time. So MSWMM file can not be burned to DVD.
1. Import .wmv or .avi file to the WMM to DVD program.
2. Set the output DVD format-DVD disc, DVD folder or ISO file.
3. Make DVD Menu. There are rich templates to your selection.
4. Personalize video. (Optional settings)
5. Start burning.
When the DVD burning process is completed, you can share your recorded happy times with friends or family.
